YES... Sacramental use of Cannabis in celebration of the Rastafari faith became legal in Jamaica on April 15, 2015.Governor General Sir Patrick Allen,The Governor General of Jamaica has given Royal assent to the Bill amending the Dangerous Drugs Act for Rastas.

WHAT does that mean in Canada ..... Jamaica and Canada are both Commonwealth Countries & the CANADIAN CHARTER OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS is founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law:Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms: (A) FREEDOM OF CONSCIENCE AND RELIGION;

Rasta in the strictest sense of the word, follows a code of discipline that cultivates love for life and nature in all it's untouched forms.

Commonly referred to as herb, weed, kaya, sinsemilla (Spanish for "without seeds"), or ganja (from the Sanskrit word ganjika, used in ancient Nepal and India), is a spiritual act, often accompanied by Bible study; Rasta's consider it a sacrament that cleans the body and mind, heals the soul, exalts the consciousness, facilitates peacefulness, brings pleasure, and brings them closer to Jah (God).

The foundation of Ital consciousness is laid upon a botanical roots– (roots meaning origin)– and cultivates a deep reverence for all lifeforms. It describes the Rastafarian Faith, lifestyle and culture, but in particular their diet, hence Ital foods.

Rasta use of ganja can't be compared with its recreational uses elsewhere in the West. Rastafarians emphasize harmony with the world and nature, and ganja is used in the context of the Rastas' "I-tal" diet, which involves not just being a vegetarian, but eating foods free of salts, preservatives, condiments, avoiding coffee, alcohol, or other drugs, and living off the land whenever possible.

Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food. Ital is vital... <br />

It would appear to some, that ital is a general term for Rastafarian vegetarian food, but in reality, ital is Rastas unique way of preparing their cuisine. It's their roots gourmet to be exact, and a sacrament for the temple, the word used by Rastafarians to refer to the body.

No - we only ship to the address you register with... But if you are traveling or moving we will work with you.

When you make your order just add a message in the Note: section of the order form or call us before ordering.

If you're tracking your package on the Canada Post website and it looks like it's headed to the wrong city, it's most likely due to human error at Canada Post. Human errors happen on occasion as postal codes are often manually entered by the postal office and if they are off by a digit/letter, it can cause a routing error and subsequent delay of 1-2 days.

If you're tracking your package on the Canada Post's website and it has not updated in some time, it's most likely due to your package missing a scan, which is fairly common.

More often than not, members get their packages on time or a day later. If you do not receive it two days after your expected date, let us know so we can file a trace with Canada Post.

Often we will email you the tracking number prior to the package scan at the post office. Until your package has been scanned in, your tracking information will not be available for tracking on the Canada Post website. Please allow up to 24 hours for the tracking information to be updated.

Unfortunately, we experience a much higher percentage of postal thefts when shipping to Northern Quebec and Nunavut. We cannot offer any delivery guarantees if you live in these areas and you will be ordering at your own risk.

Today, it is widely accepted that marijuana has two different species: Indica and Sativa. Crossbreeding of the two types has led to a wide variety of hybrid strains with unique characteristics.

The differences between indica and sativa remain a subject of much debate, especially among scientists who study the plant. However, most agree that Indica and Sativa plants are distinct in a number of ways.

Indica dominant strains are commonly used for pain relief and are often recommended for patients suffering from insomnia. They are suitable for night-time smoking.

Benefits of Indica:

  • Relieves body pain
  • Relaxes muscles
  • Relieves anxiety or stress
  • Relieves spasms, reduces seizures
  • Relieves headaches and migraines

Sativa dominant strains tend to have an uplifting, energetic and “cerebral” effect that is best suited for daytime smoking.

Benefits of Sativa:

  • Feelings of well-being and at-ease
  • Increases focus and creativity
  • Fights depression
  • Uplifting and cerebral thoughts
  • Stimulates and energizes
